Another AF Ceremony

I don't remember what the exact name of the ceremony was. It seems like every time I turn around there is a party or a gathering for the Air Force. Each having their own special name. I've been to so many now all the names just run together. This night was about honoring a couple of men who have went up and beyond in their duties. I think there was 5 guys that got selected to go into the "Hall of Fame" As always it was a long evening just sitting and listening to speeches. Maybe it would be more interesting to me if I actually knew the people, but I've never even heard of them before. There was one speech that was really good. Given by Lt.Col. Tuffs. It was awesome. He was recognizing a German exchange pilot that was here right before we moved in. I never knew him or met him, but just by Lt. Col. Tuffs speech I wanted to know him. He made him sound like he was the best guy and was loved by everyone.A beautiful ice sculpture they had. This was the 70th year since they have been doing these recognitions

One fun thing about the evening is the famous "Grog bowl" They poor all kinds of different liquors into a bowl and if you were caught doing something stupid or wrong you got sent up to drink out of it. Don't worry if you didn't drink they had another bowl that was non-alcoholic...it was a mixture of everything you could think of.... Totally gross. I was kind of hoping to see if Dad would get sent up, but he never did.
