Confesion Of Obsession

I have became addicted to Goodwill. When I lived in Columbia I never payed any attention to it. First of all there wasn't one really close to me and the stuff they had was kind of crappy. But now that I have moved to Charleston there is a Goodwill 2 minutes from my house. Not to mention there are several Ritzy neighborhoods around as well. Needless to say they get a lot of good stuff. The tricky part is that you have to be there at the right times, because as soon as something good gets dropped off it is sold right away. Every time I drive by I have to go in. Sometimes this means 3 times a day. I can't help myself. Every time I show up there are new treasures calling my name. Luckily these treasures are only costing me about a $1. Just yesterday I went in and bought one of those cool scooters that you ride and shoot water out of it at the same time. I had to fight for it, because as I was standing in line trying to pay for it a guy was outside looking at the item too. He picked it up and brought inside to buy it himself. I had to politely tell him that that was the item I was purchasing. I would have picked it up myself and brought it in, but it was big and I couldn't carry the thing around with me in the store. Today I bought me a vase, candle holders, and another little artsy decorative decor thing.

Then later I drove by and there was a washer and dryer for sale, a stainless still gas grill, a full drum set...I'm telling you this is a really good Goodwill.

I just can't pass up a good deal. For the past week I have been going to the mall and all different kind of stores to see how I want to decorate my new house. This can be quite expensive. It was making me depressed seeing all this nice things, but not able to buy any. That is until I go to Goodwill....I find all kind of cool stuff, and in my price range as well. Who can pass up something for 50 cents?

Are you talking about the one that backs up to 26?? I've wondered for a long time if there was a Goodwill in Mt. Pleasant because I KNOW that they would have good stuff but I've never looked. I'm with ya, I would much rather have someone else pay full price, have it for a few years, and then me buy it at basically a 98% discount! :) Happy hunting!
