This whole trip started over buying a diesel truck. Dad had been looking on-line now for a couple months for one. He found a really good deal on a truck, but it was up in Dallas (7hrs away). We thought hey well, my sister, Mary, lives up there so why not give it a shot and visit the family too. When we got there the truck was nothing like it looked in the picture. The seats were all molded and smelled like you know what. Dings and scratches all over the truck. The fender was ripped off. It didn't run good, had some mechanical problems. Just overall it was a nasty truck. And if that wasn't enough they were trying to sell it to us for $1,000 more than they listed online for. And we were going to trade in our Expedition. On the phone they guy said $6-8,000 for it. $6,000 minimum. Well, they lied on that too. They were only going to give us $3,000 for the trade in. That was so insulting to us. Our Expedition was newer, better shape, fully loaded, everything more than the truck. And they wanted to give us only $3,000 for it, but charge us $13,000 for their piece of crap truck. They must think we were idiots. Needless to say NO! We did NOT get the truck. On the other hand we had lots of fun spending time with my sister.

On our way up to Dallas we stopped at the Cabela's store. I don't know any guy that can pass up not going to this store. Isabel found a pop-gun that she enjoyed playing with as we were walking through the store. She was acting like she was hunting all the animals. Here is a shot of her shooting one of the moose.

When we arrived I think it was like 1:00am, but KateLynn had stayed up to see Isabel. They were so excited to see each other. Isabel ran in the house and jumped up in KateLynn's arms. They were inseparable ever since. Here they are swimming.

And of course the 2 boys, Anthony & Hunter. Hunter was so funny. As soon as he saw the camera come out he was all up on it. He had to be the center of attention. He kept wanting me to take picture of him. Vain? What? You tell me.

Aunt Mary tried to style Anthony's hair. She thought I wasn't styling him right.

We had to go for the spiked looked.

The last night we were there we went and tried out a new restaurant. Well, not new, but new to all of us. It was called Genghis's Grill, a Mongolian restaurant. The concept was cool, but the food was not so good. I was the only one who didn't like it. Everybody else enjoyed it. I guess I'm picky. Anyways, you go up and pick out what kind of meat you want and put it in your bowl. Then you pick what kind of seasonings & vegetables. In another bowl you put what kind of sauce. You give what you have picked out in your bowl to the cook and he cooks it for you. Oh yeah, and you tell him what kind of starch you want, different kinds of rice & noodles. You go back to your table and the server brings your dish out. It was pretty cool, but like I said my food was gross. I guess I don't know how to season my food right or something.
When it was time to go Isabel was so sad. She cried right when she woke up and about the first 30minutes of the car ride back home. Poor girl. What can we say, we love our family.
Mary took more pictures than me, so if she ever posts you can see them on her blog site. Hint Hint Mary...
I want to thank Mary & Jim for letting us stay with them for those couple of days. I know we can be a hand full. And Jim we appreciate all the sweat you put in to helping Anthony detail the Expedition. It looks great!

Anthony looks so much like Isabel in the 'spike' pic! I'm so glad y'all got to do that, you needed it!
I LOVE Anthony's hair spiked!!! That's definitely his style. Way to go Mary!
Uhh, and the truck thing...Unbelievable! Well, maybe this was a sure sign from HF. At least, you got to spend some time with Mary.
