My Feelings

I was going through all of my drawings that I did a while back ago and came across this picture. I just couldn't stop relating to this picture. This ruff, tough, cowboy really reflects how I feel about being stuck in Del Rio for so long. I mean he is definitely dressed for the right occasion. So out of style, since there isn't any stores here to go shopping at. His hair looks pretty scraggly, b/c once again there isn't any good hair stylist around town. Then he has this little smirk look on his face. Like he is going to shoot some Mexicans if they cross the border. I mean come on we are only 9 miles from Mexico. And he has been stranded out in the middle of the desert for so long he has become crazy, cross eyed. If you live, or have lived in Del Rio I know you can relate, and probably have some loose marbles up in the old noggin now too.

This is definitely a reflection of myself right now. How long are we suppose to be here? Oh yeah, my husband is talking about Faiping. So that means we will end up being here for 6 years.

I totally understand your feelings. It can be really hard living here. There were so many times I wanted to bail. I really hope he won't FAIP for your sake! Hang in there.

hahah - i love your interpretations of some things. That is a really cute drawing! I like it a lot, you're really talented as well! (I just commented on the wine rack above about Anthony's awe-inspiring talent)

However, I'd trade my gun holster any day for more time in Del Rio with all you fun girls!! Maybe we could just transport Laughlin, or the people there, and set up camp somewhere closer to a style salon in a mall. mmm. perfect!
