Work or Play?

We have been to several different Physical Therapy facilities, and we have finally found one we like. Anthony is suppose to go to PT to work on building stronger muscles and to teach him different techniques to get around. Well, I don't know if this is work or play?

He practices taking off clothes as well as getting himself back dressed.
What they do to make it fun? Dress like Bozo the clown. Also, for his fine motor skills they made him cut out his own red clown nose. He really needs practicing with cutting. How fun? He ranted and raved the whole time about him making his clown nose. He totally forgot that he was working.
To build muscle. They have these huge strong blanket things that are bolted to the ceiling. They are supper stretchy. You grab on to one and pull it all the way down to the ground and jump on. Then they make you climb up the sheet to tag a balloon. This activity is supper hard, but is a great work out for him. I don't know how he does it. It is even hard for me to keep my balance on those things. It works all your muscles. Full body work out in a fun way. Thats the way I like it.
If you work really hard you get to take the zip line into a huge ball pit. This is the kids favorite, and yet you still get a work out. As if holding on to the zip line isn't hard enough he has to dig and bury himself in the balls and then jump out of them. He doesn't even realize he is getting a work out when he is jumping. He just knows he is having the time of his life. They even let Gabriella jump in there with him. They take turns playing hide and seek in them. Its one of the funniest things to watch.

I love his therapist. I am so glad that we finally got a good one. It took us several tries, lots of fights and headache, but we have found a WINNER! Thank you Stephanie (PT) and Nancy (OT) you have only been working with Anthony for a couple of months, but he has already shown a big improvement.
