"Just"us Orchards
The next weekend after we worked on the rental house we got on the road to travel again. Isabel's kindergarten class had been talking about apples all week long. I thought it would be good to take her and let her pick her own apples. Plus, its another little family tradition that we do. We drive up to Hendersonville, NC and pick fresh apples from the orchards. Afterwards we make caramel apples. Yum! I'll post that soon.
Dad was suppose to come with us, but got held up at work. So on our way to NC we swooped by Columbia and picked up my parents to join in on the fun. 3 1/2 hours later...here we are
When we drove up and saw all the rows of apple trees. Isabel says, "Wow, Johnny Appleseed really did plant a lot of seeds!"
We hurried up and got our baskets
Anthony was the first one to pick his apple
Don't you just love that face
Isabel what are you and Pop looking for?
Oh, APPLES!!!
My little family carrying on tradition. APPLES! APPLES! APPLES!
Pop helped Gabriella reach the really high apples
Yay! You got one.
And boy did they taste good! The owner of the place said feel free to "taste test" all we wanted. And you know that we did.
Isabel, how did you get inside of that tree?
Oh yeah, Pop is always the instigator of getting in trouble
Once we filled our baskets we headed back and transferred them into bags that were as big as you. Excuse Isabel. It was pajama day for their class. It was a reward for filling up their compliment jar.
Anthony was super excited and proud of his hard work. He got a whole bag full
I know that I always complain about how busy we stay, but I couldn't have it any other way. Everything that we do, it is together as a family. What is more important than that? We will have these memories to look back on for forever. Plus, every time we take a trip it brings our family even closer together than before. We get reunited. I love my family and I'm glad that we have or should I say "make" so many opportunities for us to be together.

Love all of your recent posts and pictures. Looks like you've been "good" busy, so that's great!
That sounds like a lot of fun. But what in the world do you do with all those apples?
