GRIN its 2010!!
This New Year's my sister, Delia, came up to spend some time with me. We decided to go the the Francis Marion Park downtown to go to their festival they were having. I thought this was a great idea, because it is the same place that my husband proposed to me at. What a great way to start the year off!
Here we all are showing off the hats and mask we made
First they had an African dance team that did a little performance with drums and of course dancers. Here we are sitting in front of them.
Then they had a band come from Atlanta, GA to sing our way into the New Year. They played all kind of oldie goodie songs. Delia got out there to teach Isabel and Gabriella how to shag. We had a lot of fun dancing the night a way.
I think Gabriella enjoyed herself the most. She was running around all over the place. The kids wore us out so much that we ended up leaving before they even shot off the fireworks. We all conked out at 10:00. This is the 1st New Years that I have not seen any fireworks. We didn't even light up any sparklers. I hope this isn't a sign that it is going to be a bad year?
