So here I am waiting in the waiting room patiently for 4 hrs waiting on results. Nothing! As my stomach is rumbling and my head is spinning I ask the doc if I could just have some ice chips maybe to calm my stomach. NO! What? Not even ice chips? They wouldn't even let me chew my gum. I had to spit that out as well. I ask them about the results and they said they still haven't heard anything and sometimes it takes up to 6 hrs for the results. So I go back and sit in the waiting room. Dad surprises me and brings the kids up to the hospital to help surpass the time away. Isabel came running around the corner with this beautiful rose. She was so sweet. It really lifted me up, and was just what I needed. Well, really what I needed was so food, but anyways. Roses are good too.
I look at the clock it is now 4:30pm, I have been awake for 12 hrs without eating anything and waiting in the hospital for 10 hrs. I go back again to ask for results, but they still said they haven't heard anything. I was getting really frustrated. Finally the doctor decided to just send me home and they would call me when they got the results back in. Thank goodness. As soon as we left of course we went and got something to eat. I needed something right then. I didn't want to wait at sit down restuarant. I definitely didn't want to cook. So we went to the nearest fast food place, Arby's. Healthy right? I order a southern style chicken sandwich, a beef n cheddar, 2 medium fries, a large jalepno popper, and a large drink. At that point Anthony looks at me like dang fatty. I don't care I was starving. I didn't think I could really eat it all, but it all sounded so good. I couldn't wait to we got back to the hotel. I was scarfing that food down as soon as he handed me the bag. When we got back to the hotel I had finished all of the food. I couldn't believe that I actually at 2 value meals, and a large order of poppers by myself. After my belly was stuffed I went to sleep.
The doctors call and hour later telling me that the results have finally came in. I don't know why a 4 hr test took 10 hrs, but whatever. I was happy to hear that they said the baby was MATURE and to come in tomorrow for my c-section. After I heard the news I jumped up and down with excitment and then fell right back to sleep.
Wish me luck of another day of starvation. I can't eat after midnight and they will do the c-section around 11:00am. I can't wait.

Oh, you will be in my prayers tonight and tomorrow. You tell Anthony to get on your blog ASAP to tell us all how it went, and to show us some pics!! If he can build the things he can, then he can certainly make one little post to appease us!!! ;) Seriously though, I wish you the best. The anethesiologist that I had there at WH was GREAT - it was the best spinal I have had. You are in excellent hands there, and yeah all of the residents get in the way, but they have to learn somewhere, right? Take care of yourself, hopefully you're sleeping and we can't wait to see beautiful little Gabriella! We love you!
ooh how exciting, I will be thinking about you today and hoping everything goes well. Im anxious to see some pictures of your beautiful baby girl!
I hate that you had to go through all the waiting. But, you do know, the best things happen to those who wait. I'm sure this will be no different. Gabriella will be well worth it. Hang in there, girl. I love you!!!
GOod luck! I would be throwing tons of fits if that was me! You are a lot more patient than me.
i can't imagine not eating for 12 hours while waiting in a hospital WHILE BEING PREGNANT! I would have been fuming. You are much more patient than I would expect anyone to be!! you are awesome. Good luck with everything. :)
