Neglect

Poor Anthony. The other night I heard Anthony crying. I didn't think anything of it, I thought I would just let him cry hiself back to sleep like I always do. He only cried for about 3 minutes and then went back to bed. But he kept doing this like every hour through the night. I never went in to check on him until morning came around and this is what I found. Anthony off the crib and half way under the bed =( I felt so bad. He had probably been like this all night long. I'm such a bad Mommy.
When I took the first picture he woke up. Here is his poor droopy eyes. Trying to tell me his sob story of his horrible night of sleep.

Aww, poor baby! He'll definitely be wanting to take an extra nap today. His little droopy eyes say it all. I'm sure he had a pittiful night. You know, I was just telling Brandon last night that it would be a horribly, terrifying feeling for me if I were trapped under rubble unable to move. Of course, I was thinking of a crushing feeling as well, visualizing a building collapse or something. Fortunately, Anthony's night wasn't that bad, but I wonder what he was thinking? Poor baby.

For the record, though, I'm sure I would not have gotten up to check on my child either, especially if his cries didn't last long. But, like you, I would have felt SO guilty in the morning. The both of us learned some lessons this weekend. ;) Here's to experience (clank)!

Hey Liz Ann you are leaving to have this baby...? I am so jealous. What can I do to help? Oh and you have such a sweet family. Anthony is adorable in his "magic shoes" and oh btw..you are a great MOM!

poor guy! I'm sure if he only cried for a few minutes I wouldn't have gone to check on him either, you're not a bad mom!! Great pictures by the way!

OK, so do Del Priore's have a history of stripping their clothes off as young children? After your post about Anthony's fascination with his "male parts" Merritt has been taking all her clothes off and tossing her diaper out of her crib as soon as we put her to sleep. I've been in there several times to find her sound asleep, butt naked with her little naked bottom up in the air! One time she was even sleeping sitting up against the side of her crib, naked of course. How did you solve your problem with Anthony? I'm going to try to begin potty training Merritt but I really don't think she's ready. I'll let you know how that goes. I don't have a clud where to start!

Awww...I that is so sad! I had to chuckle because he was so cute laying there on the floor, the poor guy. You are a great mom. I probably would've done the same thing.
