Happy Mother's Day!

Today at church the primary got up and sang to all the mothers in sacrament meeting. They did a really good job. I always get so excited when the primary kids sing their songs. They just have the sweetest personalities, and bring such a wonderful spirit to the room. They always bring tears to my eyes when they perform. Its like watching a bunch of little angels up on the stage. Well, after the meeting they asked all the primary kids to come up to the front, and for all the mothers to stand. Usually this is a time where the young men & young women deliver flowers to the moms, but since the Del Rio Branch is so young we don't have any youth, actually the oldest kid we have in our branch is 8 years old. Anyways, so the primary kids ended up bringing us our rose and chocolate. The chocolate was awesome! It was a huge orange flavor Lindt chocolate bar.(Isabel is holding it in the picture) I had never had Lindt chocolate before and it was really good. It was so sweet having Isabel bring me my gifts. I actually thought it was better having a bunch of 3-8 year old kids walking around giving out the gifts than the normal older youth kids do. It was just so funny having them wonder around not really knowing where to go or what to do.

We also got a gift from all of the priesthood brethren. They took over primary and taught all the lessons so that all the women could attend Relief Society. It was quite nice.

In primary Isabel made me a necklace of flowers. On each flower she wrote down what she would do for me on Mother's day. She said she would give me hugs, kisses & be reverent. Well, she already gives me lots of hugs and kisses, but we will see about the reverent one. I know it will be hard for her.

Other than that we didn't really do anything. I did get to take a nice long nap after church.

Oh yeah, Dad said that I didn't dress up enough so he bought me 5 dresses. I went through them and kept 3. (The dress I'm wearing in the pic is one of them) They were pretty stylish. Hoochie, but stylish. I have to doctor them up to make them garment friendly. Like safety pining the cleavage part together, and wearing an over shirt to add sleeves. Anthony has always had great taste in clothes. Actually he is the one who does all of my clothes shopping. I don't enjoy shopping for myself that much anymore. Every time I go to the store I find myself in the kids section. Its funner to shop for my kids, and I forget about buying for myself.

Wow, that is awesome Anthony can go shopping for you! I would love that. I love your dress too, where did he get that? Happy Mothers day!

Wow, sounds like you guys got the royal treatment at church today! Since this was my first week at Altus, I didn't get anything for this special day while at church because they gave them out after a dedication of the building that we didn't stay for. A lot of people didn't stay and went in and got their little flowers anyway, but I felt weird doing that. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you look really pretty in the picture you posted today. Take care!

Did you take the other dresses back because you didn't like them or were you trying to be frugal? ;) Tell Anthony not to hoochify you too much. I'd hate for you to tarnish that golden reputation that you have. Hehe! Y'all look so sweet together. Give them babies a kiss for me.

Marina,
No, I had to take some of them back, b/c they were to hoochie! Or I just really didn't like them or they didn't fit.
