Surprise Date

Right after the church's Trunk or Treat Dad said he had a surprise for me. What? When we got home his Mom was there. WTHeck? The first thing I thought was, this is not what a call a "good surprise" I gave him a dirty look and he laughed and told me she was the babysitter so we could go on a date. Awh! How sweet? Dad was leaving in 2 days so he wanted to have one last fling before he left. Not to mention he was trying to patch things up between us, because we had gotten into a huge fight earlier in the week. But we won't go into all of that. I'll spare you our family issues. You only care about the good stuff anyways...right?
My husband really does know me very well. He kept asking if we were going to go to the fair this year. I kept putting it off. I felt like with the kids already going to 3 different Halloween things all in one week they didn't need to go to the fair too. Talking about over stimulation and sugar high. Although, deep down inside I really did want to go. Growing up our family went every year, so it is in my blood to love the fair. The smell of the food, lights, music, entertainment and rides. I get giddy just talking about it. What can I say, I'm still a little kid inside. Thank you honey it put a smile on my face as soon as we pulled up and I noticed where we were at. Things started racing through my mind on what I had to get....
caramel apples
fresh cotton candy...the bright colors and sweet smell just draw you in
Elephant ears...of course we had Frisk Fries as well with lots of vinegar on them. YUM YUM YUM
I was having such a good time and just when I thought the date was over my sweet husband drives downtown to the Cooper River Bridge where they have this beautiful park they just finished building. Its right on the water front and is just beautiful. I love him. He really knows how to say goodbye. Thank you honey. I will miss you. Hurry back home
When we got home I thought that everybody would be asleep. I mean it was 1:00am, but to our surprise Gabriella was awake. Little stinker. So we went ahead and gave her their surprise. A monster bag of cotton candy. Its as big as she is.
She didn't waste any time ripping into the bag and grabbing a handful to shove in her mouth. Gosh, I love my kids
