We have such a wonderful group of YW. We had a stake fireside a couple of weeks ago and this is what one of our Laurel girls, Elizabeth Ruff, did. She thought she would be able to right it off as one of her Personal Progress projects. She made 200 cupcakes all by herself, with homemade fondant and decorated them all to go with the theme of the fireside "A Brand New Year".
I also feel so loved by my YW. Last night we had our Ward Social and as we were all sitting around talking the girls wanted to go see Confessions of a Shopaholic. Then they invited me to come along. I couldn't believe that some teenage girls would want me to come along. I was excited by the invitation. The movie was so cute. I didn't get home until midnight, but I really enjoyed myself. And last week another one of my YW girls called me up and wanted me to help her with one of her school projects. She thought I was creative and thought I could give her some good ideas. I didn't think that was part of my calling, but I didn't mind helping her out. No, I didn't do her project for her. I just gave her ideas. I am really enjoying my calling and am getting so close to my girls. It is going to be hard saying good-bye when we move in April

how fun! I miss being in YW!
You're just cool. That's all. I even want to hang out with you. If I call you up, will you spend your time with this 'ole lady? :0)
I've gotten so behind on your blog! I think its great that you get to work with the YW and that they kind of see you as one of them. I remember times when we had young leaders and it was easier to relate with them because it hadn't been that long ago that they were in my shoes. I think in our ward we only have like 3 or 4 YW and I miss wards with lots.
i would love to be in YWs for that very reason. I'm glad you're having so much fun with them. Those cupcakes are impressive!!
