Lake Party

Yesterday, our church branch had a little get together out on Lake Amistad. This lake is pretty big. Actually they host the National Bass Fishing Tournament there. Its funny, b/c when the tournament comes around Del Rio comes to life. All the hotels are booked, and there is just a lot more people around. I have been here for over 2 years now and I haven't been out on the lake. Once I moved here I saw a picture of what kind of fish they have swimming up in the lake. They are called Alligator Gar-fish, and I am terrified of them. Ever since I saw that picture I refused to go near the lake. Do you blame me? Look at that thing. They can weigh 280 llbs. Thats double my size! They say they have never attacked anybody, but I don't believe them

Well, I thought since my time was up here in Del Rio and the church was having all their boats out there that it wouldn't hurt me just to ride on the boat, not get in the water, but just ride. I needed to be able to say that YES I have been to where they have the National Bass Fishing Tournament. Everybody else was out wake boarding, skiing & tubing. I was enjoying the sun's rays on the pontoon boat. I thought I was smart. I was on the boat that had all the food and drinks on it. Anyways, it was Gabriella's first time out on a boat. All she did was sleep the whole time, but I know she loved it. I want to say Thanks Del Rio Branch. You kept me safe from the Gar fish and I had a fun time.
